This is not a cookbook. This is a guide for living gluten-free.

There are a lot of books, articles, and videos about how to make gluten-free recipes. There are almost no resources about all the other changes you have to make in your life to be gluten-free.

The Gluten-Free Stress-Free Transition Guide™ is what I’ve learned from living gluten-free for over ten years. Topics include:

Creating and maintaining a gluten-free kitchen

How to make sure restaurants are safe

Preventing cross-contamination

Caring for gluten-free children

How to grocery shop and read labels

Tips for traveling gluten-free

Avoid getting sick when eating at social events

and more practical advice!

Hear It From Others

When we figured out gluten was making both my daughter and my son sick, Katie Eats gave us a ton of insight on what to buy, how to cook, and how to keep from cross-contaminating their food. Everything was so much easier.

Amber D.

There is so much more to being gluten-free than just changing what you eat. Katie Eats helped me understand all the other ways that I was still getting sick even though I was eating gluten-free. It really is a lifestyle change as much as a diet change.

Theresa B.

Katie Eats helped me learn how to keep my kitchen gluten-free and cook gluten-free for my daughter-in-law and granddaughter. Now they are able to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with the whole family again!

Cyndi T.

We have friends that have to eat gluten-free and the "Friends and Guests Guides to Understanding Gluten" taught us how to host them at our house and how to be good gluten-free guests at their house.

Hi! I'm Katie Bryan. I was diagnosed with celiac disease and have been gluten-free since 2010. Making the switch to eating gluten-free is not an easy task. I struggled with switching my diet, just like everyone. It was overwhelming trying to figure out what foods to eat and which to avoid, especially since there weren’t many gluten-free foods in the stores or restaurants in 2010. The only advice from my doctor was "eat gluten-free." It took me a long time and lots of trial and error to figure out how to eat and live gluten-free well.

I now feel tremendously better and learned so much that I began helping others make the transition to a gluten-free diet and lifestyle. It comes naturally to me to teach others. I've been working with gluten-free clients for over ten years.

I also have experience working with children that are gluten-free. My oldest daughter was diagnosed when she was ten years old. We've learned to manage school lunches and birthday parties. It's a tough endeavor but worth it for my daughter's health and happiness!

I have bachelor's and master's degrees in education with an emphasis in divergent learning and certification in plant-based nutrition from Cornell University.

Let me teach you how to avoid a lot of pain and frustration and make your transition to a gluten-free lifestyle faster and easier than mine was!
